Voice, Piano, Flute – Kelsey Kotun

Kelsey (Weightman) Kotun has been working as a certified music educator in western Pennsylvania for over a decade! She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Westminster College of PA, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University of PA and a Principal Certification from Penn West University. Mrs. Kotun spent the first six years of her career teaching secondary music in Waynesburg, PA, where she directed choirs, bands, and colorguard/visual ensembles in grades 7-12. She is currently employed as an elementary music specialist in the Greater Latrobe School District where she teaches K-6 general music, 5-6 choir, and serves as a mentor teacher/teacher leader for her department. Kelsey has sung for numerous collegiate, community and religious events and still performs regularly around the area as a guest performer and conductor. In addition to singing with the Westmoreland Choral Society, where she directors the Children & Youth Choir, she is a paid section leader of the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg.  She is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and the Westmoreland County Music Educators’ Association.
